Investment Criteria

While each opportunity is reviewed individually, elements common to all Vanguard Equity investments include: 

• Capable management teams with an entrepreneurial vision, drive and pertinent experience.
   

• Products, which address dynamic markets with high growth rates and substantial size.
   

• Leading edge or breakthrough technology with a proprietary and/or a leadership position.
   

• Thoughtful assessment of the risks of the target market sector and those inherent in early stage companies.

A formal business plan is less important to our analysts than a short, concise and focused synopsis of senior management's vision for achieving market success and a clearly defined strategy to take the Company into a global lead position. We prefer to invest in established businesses which have grown as far as they can on their own financing and are in need of a strong financial partner in order to take the Company to the next level.
